Academic Enrichment
As a formidable partner in education with the Philadelphia School District, the Philly KiDZ Initiative is proud to be one of the leading Academic Enrichment Programs in Philadelphia. Through our partnership with the Philadelphia School District, we are able to utilize PSD teaching staff, in order to conduct grade appropriate enrichment activities which include:

+ Creative Writing & Journalism
+ Math, Science and Technology
+ Junior Achievement Enrichment
+ Anti-bullying
+ Music, Voice and Instrument
+ Theater and Drama
Philly KiDZ Initiative does not stop there. We are constantly improving our teachers' Professional Development opportunities by enrolling in the "Click2Science" Educational S.T.E.M programming, partnering with "Brain Quest" and "Scholastics" for academic curriculum enhancement, as well as The Free Library of Philadelphia, "NASA" and the National Science Museums all over the U.S.

Much More Than Daily After School Care...
Here is a look into a typical daily schedule of what we do...
Proceeding school dismissal, the children begin after school with a healthy snack, that includes a meat and/or vegetable protein, milk, juice, and fruit.
When the snack is complete, they are separated in to their grade appropriate class rooms to complete homework. The small ratio of 12 children to one educator assures the completion and comprehension of subjects that were learned that day. This is the practice portion of the educational concepts that the children were introduced to that day. For children in the ESoL Program (English Learners) we offer translation of their written and oral homework assignments.
Once homework has been checked and initialed by the teacher, the children move onto the enrichment part of the day.

Summer Camp Programs
Education and Recreation
Within the 6 week yearly Summer Program, our educators and assistants continue with the proper educational and S.T.E.M. curriculum, mandated by the OCDEL but, in a less formal environment.
During the Summer Program, Philly KiDZ Initiative operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The dates of operation vary due to our contractual obligation with the Philadelphia School Districts.

+ 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM ... ARRIVAL AND BREAKFAST
+ 9:00 AM - 9:50 AM ... YOGA/PHYSICAL FITNESS CLASS
+ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM ... ACADEMIC CLASSES INCLUDING MATH, READING AND COMPREHENSION
+ 12:10 PM - 1:00 PM ... LUNCH
+ 1:10 PM - 5:00 PM ... ROBOTICS, ART, MUSIC, DRAMA, FITNESS,
SCIENCE, COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
+ 5:10 PM - 7:00 PM ... DISMISSAL
WEEKLY TRIPS SCHEDULE WILL BE PROVIDED EVERY YEAR
